A ceremony to open a basic vocational sewing course was held at the office of the Township Department of Rural Development in Myittha Township, Kyaukse District, Mandalay Region this morning.

On the occasion, an official from the Township General Administration Department delivered an opening speech. Afterwards, an official from the Township Department of Rural Development clarified the purpose of the training course.

The one-month training course is being attended by 15 trainees from villages and wards in the Township, according to an official from the Township DRD.

With a view to creating job opportunities for rural women, the Department of Rural Development organized a basic sewing course in the Township. —Su Mon(IPRD)
