Medical workers from the Township Department of Health administered the second dose of Covid-19 vaccine to local people at the hall of Minzuthaka in the town of Kawthoung, Tanintharyi Region on 2 June.
First, medical workers provided necessary medical check-up to people who will receive COVID-19 vaccine and inoculated the vaccine against COVID-19 to local people in line with Covide-19 health guidelines set by Ministry of Health and Sports.
Medical workers administered 5425 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, with just 4900 having received two doses since the national immunization program started in the first week of May this year in the Township.
As of June 2, out of 63 confirmed COVID-19 positive patients in Kawthoung Township, 49 patients were reportedly discharged from the hospital.—Township IPRD
