With a view to greening natural environment and helping reduce climate change, the Forest Department is arranging to distribute over 30,000 saplings to the local people in Myinmu Township, Sagaing Region during raining season.

The saplings will be distributed to the local residents who want to grow in wards, villages and government offices. In an attempt to prevent wards, villages, schools and government offices from riverbank erosion, the Forest Department is allotting saplings to local people, according to an official from the Department.
