An inter-village bridge that will connect Maunghlaw village in Kyunsu Township and Ashae Minthan village in Myeik Township is being built in Myeik District, Taninthayi Region. Now, the construction has been completed by 27 percent, according to an official from the construction team.
The bridge which is 2100 ft in length is being built with K 881.5 million of funds of the Department of Rural Development during 2018-2019 FY, K 1220 million during 2019-2020 FY and K 1600 million of funds during 2020-2021 FY. The project was conducted starting from 1 December, 2018.
Upon completion, it will bring safe and convenient transportation and socioeconomic development to a total of over 30,000 local residents from 30 villages in Myeik Township and Kyunsu Township in Myeik District.
