With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans for implementation of emerald green projects were disbursed to farmers in Nyaungbintha Village in Kawlin Township, Sagaing Region yesterday.
On the occasion, an official from the township Department of Rural Development clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and regulations of the emerald green projects to be abode by rural people.
Afterwards, staff from the Township DRD handed over a total of K 30 million to members of village emerald green project committee in the village in accordance with Covid-19 health rules set by Ministry of Health and Sports. Altogether 116 people – 35 people in agriculture business, 78 in livestock breeding business and three in trading business received loans of the project.—Myint Mor(DRD)
