With the aim of keeping the environment green, maintaining soil and temperature, a tree planting activity took place in the compound of Education Degree College in Katha Township, Sagaing Region yesterday.

Chairman of the District Administration Council U Tun Kyaw Kyaw, Chairman of The Township Administration Council U Htet Win and members, departmental officials, staff from the Township Department of Forest and members of Social Organization participated in the activity and planted a total of 730 saplings including teaks, Pingadoe, Padauk and other hardwood trees in the compound of the College.—Lu Aung(Katha)
