Under the program of Ministry of Health and Sports, medical staff from the town Department of Health conducted a mass immunization campaign in conjunction with a knowledge sharing event about the danger of COVID-19 pandemic at the Station Hospital in Minenaung Sub-Township, Loilem District, Shan State (South) this morning.

First, medical workers provided necessary medical check-up to pregnant women, children below one and a half years old and girls between 9 and 10 years old, and vaccinated and dosed them against various diseases such as hepatitis B, Polio, measles, diphtheria and Japanese encephalitis.

The DPH also injected girls between 9 and 10 years with HPV immunization against cervical cancer. A total of 83 people including 30 pregnant women and 53 children and girls received the vaccine.—Mah  Nan (Ninenaung)
