Thet Htar Thuzar faces two consecutive losses in Tokyo Olympic

MYANMAR’S Badminton star player Thet Htar Thuzar faced two big losses in Tokyo Olympic 2020 that is being held at the Musashino Forest Sports Plaza in Tokyo. Yesterday (on 27 July), Thet Htar Thuzar played against Belgium’s Lianne Tan in their women’s singles badminton group stage match at the Musashino Forest Sports Plaza in Tokyo.

 

Thet Htar Thuzar suffered a 6-21 and 8-21 loss to the Belgium star. On 25 July, Thet Htar Thuzar met Gregoria Mariska Tunjung of Indonesia at their first group stage match and Thet Htar Thuzar lost with 11-21 and 8-21 points.

 

After two big losses, Thet Htar Thuzar has been disqualified from the group stage of the Women’s Single Badminton event of the Tokyo Olympics.

 

Likewise, Ye Tun Naung, a sniper from the Myanmar national team, withdrew from the competition after finishing 14th in the men’s 10m air pistol event on 24 July.

 

A total of thirty-six athletes from different countries competed in the men’s 10m air pistol event of the Tokyo Olympics. —GNLM
