Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn meets Information staff, inspects MRTV

UNION Minister U Maung Maung Ohn for Information and Hotels and Tourism met the departmental officials of the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

During the meeting, the Union Minister stressed the need to have a pure mindset for the public and departments and to do better performances based on the achievements during the last six months.

He also said the media sector plays a key role and it needs to ensure that the news coverage is fast, accurate and up to date. It should release information in a timely manner for the people. Then, he instructed the staff to follow the COVID-19 health rules.

The Union Minister also met the staff of MRTV at noon. The Director-General U Ye Naing presented the current work plans.

The Union Minister coordinated the discussion and instructed the attendees to be creative in broadcasting the news and other programmes and to make efforts for modern, vibrant and dignified broadcasts.

Then, he inspected the construction of the Diamond Jubilee Museum of MRTV, including Convergence News Room, Presentation Rooms, TV Master Control Room, News Studio, NRCS, Radio Master Control Room, 9 Meter Earth Station, Records, On-Air Rooms and Auditorium.
