Under the supervision of the Township Administration Council and the Township committee on COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment, healthcare workers carried out the COVID-19 tests for 59 Myanmar citizens who returned from Thailand at the quarantine center in the town of Htaukkyant in Mingladon Township, Yangon Region this morning.
Of 59 returnees, 22 people including 11 man and 11 women have tested positive for COVID-19 and sent them to a quarantine center which opens in Pale People’s hospital to receive treatment, according to healthcare workers.
The returnees who have tested negative for the virus will be sent to their native land, according to healthcare workers.—Thandar(IPRD)
