Kyonpyaw 29 November

With the aims of increasing fish production and ensuring fish consumption, a ceremony to release fingerlings into Daka Creek in Kyonpyaw Township, Ayeyawady Region was conducted on November 29.

The occasion was attended by officials from District Department of Fisheries, members of Township Administration Council and departmental personnel. First, the officials gave fingerlings to the fishermen and added 300,000 fish species of different kinds into the creek. 

The Fisheries Department is undertaking the release of fingerlings into natural creeks, lakes, paddy fields, dams and rivers across the nation.
