With the aim of distributing purified drinking water to rural people in Thayet Township, Thayet District, Magway Region, water supply projects are being undertaken in eight villages in the township during 2021-2022 FY. Now, all have been completed by 50 percent.

 

The water supply projects including digging tube wells and expansion of earthen lakes are being implemented with K 96.4 million allocated by funds of the Department of Rural Development and 22.43 million allocated by funds of regional government. All the projects are being conducted starting from the first week of December. 

 

Upon completion, 3093 people from 776 households in the villages will be available enough drinking water. In Thayet Township, water distribution projects were implemented with K 138.68 million in ten villages during 2020-2021 FY.
