A ceremony to present cash donated by Japanese donors was held at a monastic education school in Kyaungkon Township, Pathein District, Ayeyawady Region this afternoon.

At the ceremony, Takuo Katayama presented US$ 1000, Anna Karc, US$ 1700, and Shibata Chuo Rotary Club 1600 US$ to the presiding Sayadaw of the monastery and exercise books and stationery to students.

The donation is the second of its kind made by Japanese donors who contributed for a two-story building for the monastery, it is learnt.—Win Kyaing (IPRD)
