With the aim of ensuring swift flow of commodity and boosting the socio-economic status of rural people, the construction works of three rural roads and five bridges are being carried out by rural development committee in Winkyi Village, Kyauksayitgon Village and Bayataung Village in Wuntho Township, Kawlin District, Sagaing Region and now, all the projects have been completed 85 percent.

 

The rural road measuring one mile long and 12 ft. wide in Winkyi Village and the concrete road measuring three miles long and 12 ft. wide in Kyauksayitgon Village are being constructed by Yamunkaung construction Company with Ks 84.421 million allotted by regional government, and all the projects have been finished 85 percent so far.

 

In addition, the rural road measuring one mile long and 12 ft. wide in Bayataung Village is being constructed by Tetthitsanay construction Company with 54.50 million allocated by regional government. Now, all the projects have been completed 95 percent, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.

 

Once completed, they will benefit 800 acres of farmland of rural people in the villages, helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner.—Yun(Monywa)
