AN opening ceremony of MFF Future & Development Group of Referee programme Module -1 (Football / Futsal), jointly organized by the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) and the Referee Committee was held at the press conference hall of Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon yesterday.

Advisor to the President of the Myanmar Football Federation U Bunny Tin Aung, Chairman of the Myanmar Football Federation Refereeing Committee U Tun Hla Aung, CEO of Myanmar National League U Soe Moe Kyaw, officials from Myanmar Football Federation, trainers and trainees attended the opening ceremony.

U Bunny Tin Aung gave an opening speech during the ceremony.

The training will be conducted from 24 to 28 March. Sixteen trainees and three trainees, including the referee and assistant referee, will join the course.

Two AFC Referee Academy trainees and one trainee will be among the participants.

Among the AFC Referee Academy participants, Phyo Htet Aung started in 2018 (Batch 2) and is now attending the thirdyear course.

U Thura Zaw and Daw Khin Nyein Chan will start their firstyear course in 2022 (Batch 4).

Module 2 of the MFF Future & Development Group of Referee programme will be launched in May and Module 3 will be continued in August, officials said. —GNLM
