A ceremony to provide financial aid to people whose homes were damaged by strong winds was held at the office of the Township General Administration Department in Minhla Township, Bago Region on 29 March.

At the event, officials from the Township General Administration Department, Department of Disaster Management and Fire Services Department handed over Ks. 330400 including Ks. 280000 for purchasing building materials and Ks. 50400 for purchasing rice to five households whose homes were damaged by strong winds in the Township.

Powerful wind hit Minhla Township in Bago Region on 8 March and flipped over the roofs of five houses. But no casualties were reported.—Pauksa(Minhla)
