A ceremony to put a concrete road into use was held at the entrance of the road in Yeedwin village in Minhla Township, Thayet District, Magway Region on 29 March with an opening speech by chairman of the Township Administration Council U Than Tun Aung.

 Then, staff officer of the Township Department of Rural Development U Wei Lin Maung explained about the construction works of the concrete road. Afterwards, chairman of the Township Administrator U Than Tun Aung and officials cut a ceremonial ribbon to formally open the road. 

The road measuring 800 feet in length, ten feet in width and six inches in thickness was constructed with Ks. 11.0 million including Ks. 10 million allotted by regional government and 1 million contributed by well-wishers, according to an official from the Township DRD.—Soe Moe Kyaw
