A ceremony to provide foodstuff, clothes and cash aid to Internal Displaced Persons was held in Kyaukpandu Village in Maungdaw Township, Rakhine State on 31 March.
Under this cash aid and foodstuffs supply program, a total of 341 Myo ethnic people including 174 men and 165 women from Ponnagyun Township, Rakhine State received Ks. 11.5 million, clothes and foodstuffs. As of March 19, 341 IDPs from Ponnagyun have been sheltered in Kyaukpandu Village in Maungdaw Township, Rakhine State.
Under the guidance of Rakhine State Government, chairman of the District Administration Council U Nay Oo and members, Chairman of the Township Administration Council U Kan Htun Aung and members, the District level officials and members of the Myanmar Red-Cross Society went to the village and provided foodstuffs, clothes and cash aid. –Thet Lwin Soe(District IPRD)
