One of the trees that toppled over during the high winds that hit the town of Kawthoung in Tanintharyi Region on 18 April crushed the roof of apartment of Immigration and Population staff.

The roof and ceiling of the apartment of Department of Immigration and Population staff in Bayintnaung Ward in Kawthoung Township have been partially destroyed after a powerful wind gust uprooted a mango tree.    

But no casualties were reported. Local authorities provided necessary assistance to victims of strong winds.—Kyaw Soe
