A ceremony to open summer basic computer course was held at the community center of Information and Public Relations Department in Hpa-an District, Kayin State this morning.

During the ceremony, Kayin State Minister for Social Affairs U Soe Lwin delivered an opening speech and gave words of encouragement to the students who attend the course.

Afterwards, Assistant Director of the District Information and Public Relations Department Daw Soe Soe Aye discused matters relating to the training course and a brief history of computer course in the state and clarified the purposes of the training course.

The computer course which runs from April 25 to May 13 is being attended by 20 trainees. The course covers Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.—District IPRD
