An explosion at a university in Pakistan has left four people dead, including three Chinese nationals.
The blast occurred on Tuesday afternoon at the University of Karachi in southern Pakistan.
Police and other sources say three Chinese and one Pakistani died. Two others were injured.
The victims included people linked to the on-campus Confucius Institute which offers Chinese-language classes.
Local media say a woman standing on the roadside detonated explosives attached to her body when the victims' vehicle was driving toward the Confucius Institute building.
An armed separatist group from Balochistan province in southwestern Pakistan has issued a statement claiming responsibility for the attack.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on social media that, "The perpetrators will surely be brought to justice."
The incident is the latest in a series of recent attacks by armed groups opposed to China. Beijing is involved in large-scale development projects in Pakistan to advance its Belt and Road economic initiative.
In July last year, nine Chinese nationals were killed in an explosion in northwestern Pakistan.
