An event to provide financial aid to people whose homes were damaged by strong winds was held at the meeting room of General Administration Department in Pyinmana Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory this afternoon.

During the ceremony, Assistant Director of the Township Department of Disaster Management U Aung Zaw Oo and Chairman of the Township Administration Council U Maung Maung Than handed over Ks. 2.95 Million to respective wards and village administrators for purchasing rice and construction materials.

The powerful winds hit Pyinmana Township on 20 April this year and flipped over the roofs of 53 houses. Financial aid will be given to victims of strong winds by respective wards and villages Administrators.—Khant Win Kyaw(IPRD)
