An event to provide financial aid to people whose homes were damaged by strong winds was held at the Monastery of Padaukmyaing Village in Myothit Township, Magway Region on 30 April.

During the ceremony, officials handed over a total of Ks. 1.65 million to victims of strong winds for purchasing construction materials and rice. The strong winds hit Myothit Township on 29 April at about 4:30 pm and flipped over the roof of a Monastery and the roofs of 20 houses in the village. 

Chairman of the Township Administration Council and members, officials from the Township Department of Disaster Management, Fire Services Department and victims of strong winds attended the ceremony.—Than Win Tun(IPRD)
