Opening ceremony of Lashio Township sports and physical education Department Chairman’s Cup U-25 men’s sepak takraw tournament was held at the Township stadium in the Town of Lashio, Shan State(North) at about 10:00 am on 12 May.

At the event, chairman of the Township sports and physical education department and the Township Administrator U Zaw Naing Oo delivered an opening speech. Then, Sepak takraw teams saluted the nation flag. Afterwards, officials led by U Zaw Naing Oo cordially greeted the players and gave words of encouragement.

The contest runs from May 12 to 13 with six participating teams.—Han Htay(Lashio)
