Local people received their booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine at the designated vaccination sites in Maungdaw Township, Rakhine State yesterday morning.
Under the supervision of the Township Administration Council, medical workers from the Township Department of Health monitored the body temperatures and blood pressures of local people before giving the vaccine and watched them for 30 minutes after administering the vaccine.
A total of 1025 people including 26 civil servants, 35 staff from the Township Basic Education Department and 962 local people received their booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine on 16 May. As of May 16, a total of 9062 people received their booster dose of COVID-19 Vaccine in Maungdaw Township.
Healthcare workers continue to vaccinate the remaining people in the township in line with Covid-19 health guidelines set by Ministry of Health.—Thet Lwin Soe(IPRD)
