Medical workers from the Township Department of Public Health under Ministry of Health began the second round of vaccination campaign to prevent women from cervical cancer and human papillomavirus (HPV) at the designated vaccination sites in Mongkhoke Township, Shan State(East) on 23 May.

 

Medical workers vaccinated girls between nine and ten years old in collaboration with volunteers from Tatmadaw(Military) medical team in line with COVID-19 health guide line, according to the Township Department of Health.

 

In addition, children below one and a half years old were also dosed and vaccinated against various diseases such as diphtheria, whooping cough, measles, hepatitis B, encephalitis and polio at the designated vaccination sites in the Township.—Yin Yin Win(IPRD)
