THE final match of the 43rd Inter-State/Region Chinlone Competition and award-giving ceremony were organized at Wunna Theikdi Gymnasium B in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

 

Members of the State Ad­ministration Council Mahn Nyein Maung, U Khin Maung Swe, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, U Moung Har, U Sai Lone Saing and Dr Banyar Aung Moe, Un­ion Ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, U Ko Ko, U Tin Htut Oo, U Hla Moe, U Min Thein Zan, U Shwe Lay and Dr Htay Aung, the deputy ministers, directors-gen­eral, officials of the Ministry of Sports and Youths Affairs, the Myanmar Traditional Chinlone Federation, region/state coach­es and athletes attended to enjoy the match.

 

During the final match, Yan­gon Region made a win over Mandalay Region.

 

Then, the award-giving cer­emony was held and the officials presented the most progres­sive awards to the Nay Pyi Taw Council and Ayeyawady Region teams in the women’s competi­tion, to Bago Region and Nay Pyi Taw Council teams in the men’s competition, the fourth award to Rakhine State and ris­ing star awards to the athletes including certificates of honour and cash awards. They also awarded K100,000 cash award each to fourth award winners Ayeyawady Region and Nay Pyi Taw Council teams.

 

SAC member Dr Banyar Aung Moe then presented K1.5 million to the first prize winner Mandalay Region in the wom­en’s four-player category, K1 million to the second winner Yangon Region and K700,000 to the third prize winner Bago Region.

 

Another SAC member U Sai Lone Saing gave K1.5 million to the first prize winner Mandalay Region in the men’s six-play­er category, K1 million to the second winner Yangon Region and K700,000 to the third prize winner Magway Region.

 

Then, SAC members Jeng Phang Naw Taung and U Moung Har gave the K100,000 cash prize each to the best female player award to Aye Aye Than (Man­dalay Region) and the best male player award to Zaw Win Maung (Yangon Region), while Mahn Nyein Maung and U Khin Maung Swe presented championship trophies to the Mandalay Re­gion team that won Men’s and Women’s competitions. — MNA
