With the aim of boosting the income of rural people and their socio-economic status, loans for implementation of emerald green projects were disbursed to members of village emerald green project committee in Oakpho Village in Thayet Township, Magway Region yesterday. The disbursement of loan is the seventh of its kind in the village. 

First of all, an official from the Township Department of Rural Development clarified the purposes of the project and explained rules and regulations of the emerald green projects to be abode by members of village emerald green project committee.

Afterwards, an official handed over a total of Ks. 55.62 million to 184 members of village emerald green project committee in the village.—Ko Hlaing (DRD)
