A coordination meeting on the Stone Age historical process took place at the Yangon Branch of the Department of Archaeology and National Museum on 13 and 14 June.

 

Vice-Chairman-2 Dr Toe Hla of the Myanmar Historical Commission explained the Stone Age historical process among the draft historical processes compiled by Myanmar historians whereas Principal U Win Kyaing of Archaeology Technological Training School in Pyay report­ed on results from the surveys in Stone Age’s research.

 

All participants discussed the situation of the Stone Age process started by Anyathian culture approximately 750,000 to 275,000 years ago, firm pieces of evidence and calculation of age based on scientific dating. The process includes periods of Pale­olithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic cultures. The second meeting will be added with supplemen­tary discussions.

Likewise, the meeting on Pyu historical process of Myan­mar history will take place from 20 to 22 June. Enthusiasts and scholars may join the discussions by holding their research find­ings and firm shreds of evidence.
