As of June 15, a total of 9342 students aged between five and 12 from Basic Education Schools and monastic schools have been vaccinated against first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at the designated vaccination sites in Pauktaw Township, Rakhine State.

 

Under the leadership of the Township Administration Council, healthcare workers from the Township Department of Public Health and volunteers gave the vaccine to the students on a door to door basis in the Township.

 

Healthcare workers and volunteers monitored the body temperatures and blood pressures of the students before administering the vaccine to them and watched them for 30 minutes after giving the vaccine in line with COVID-19 health regulations.

 

Members of the Township Administration Council, departmental officials and officials from the Township Basic Education Department participated in the vaccination campaign and provided necessary assistance to healthcare workers.—Township IPRD
