Officials from the Township Department of Social Welfare and the Township General Administration Department jointly disbursed social pension to senior citizens aged 85 and above on a door to door basis in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region yesteday.

There are a total of 956 elderly people in Pwintbyu Township. Officials from the Township Department of Social Welfare and the Township General Administration Department paid a domiciliary visit to provide social pension to the homes of elderly people in the town and nearby villages and provided social pension to them.

Under this cash assistance program, a total of 956 senior citizens in the Township received Ks. 30000 each for three months for 2022-2023 FY.—U Hlaing Win Lay (IPRD)
