Public awareness of electric safety was conducted at the Basic Education High School (Bayintnaung) in Gyobingyauk, Thayawady District, Bago Region yesterday.
On the occasion, officials from the township electricity department delivered pamphlets concerning electric safety to the students and teachers. U Khin Maung Myint, electrical engineer said that a total of 8,005 meter boxes are distributing electricity to public in Gyobingyauk. In addition, 80 villages nearby the area with electricity will be supplied electricity from the third week of February. Therefore, public perception on electric safety is being accelerated and it mainly focuses on student, he added.
Afterwards, head of the school expressed thanks to the officials from the township electricity department. A total of 250 people including teachers and students were in attendance.
