19 rural roads that will benefit over 26000 acres of farmland in 21 townships in Mandalay Region are being implemented starting from first week of June during this fiscal year, according to the Region Department of Rural Development.
With the aim of delivering agricultural products to markets with saving time and money, 19 rural roads and 30 rural bridges are being built with K 1546.127 million allocated by funds of Union. Now, all have been completed by 20 percent, according to an official from the Township DRD.
Upon completion, it will bring socioeconomic development to over 43000 people from 8878 households in 40 villages in the townships and agricultural products from over 26000 acres of farmland will be delivered to the markets in a timely manner.
