Officials from the District General Administration Department and the District Department of Disaster Management provided cash aid to people whose homes became relocated due to riverbank erosion in Wakhema Township, Myaungmya District, Ayeyarwady Region yesterday evening.

 

Officials provided over K 3.4 million for purchasing rice and construction materials to victims of riverbank erosion from villages in the township on a door to door basis.

 

A total of 102 family members from three Villages in the Township were evacuated to safer places as a result of riverbank erosion on July 15–16  this year. Hein Htet Lin(IPRD)
