An overheated fan was blamed for a fire that broke out at about 11:55 pm on 4 September from the home of U Zaw Paing in Sakha Village in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region.

 

The fire was believed to have started from overheated fan in the home of U Zaw Paing and quickly spread to other houses and completely destroyed three houses and a vehicle.

 

Around 50 firemen from the District Fire Services Department and the Township Fire Services Department rushed to the scene to fight the fire in collaboration with local people using six fire engines and four fire tankers, and the blaze was completely extinguished at about 12:55 am.

 

The fire destroyed three houses, causing a loss of Ks. 4 million. Action is being taken against U Zaw Paing, the owner of the house, for his negligence.—Kyaw Swa(Myingyan)
