Kyikha, 5 September

A ceremony to upgrade a basic education primary school into a Basic Education Post-Primary School was held at the school compound in the town of Kyikha, Tonzan Township, Chin State on 3 September.

Deputy staff officer of the Town Education officer’s office U Pau Kaw Thang, the Town Administrator U Nay Zaw Aung and headmistress of Kyikha B.E.H.S. Daw Vung Law Hau attended the ceremony and cut a ceremonial ribbon to formally open the school.

During the ceremony, U Pau Kaw Thang, U Nay Zaw Aung and Daw Vung Law Hau delivered speeches. Next, chairman of the town school development committee U Dam Sing Mun spoke words of thinks. Afterwards, a dance troupe performed the cultural dance.

The school stood as a self-reliant one from June 2015 to May 2022 and it had been upgraded into Primary School in June 2022 and it has become a Basic Education Post-Primary School in September 2022. – Kyikha(IPRD)
