Dagon Myothit(East), 8 September 

The Department of Fisheries under Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation held a fish planting ceremony at the Ma-U Creek in Dagon Myothit(East) Township, Yangon Region for preventing the extinction of fish species this morning.

At the event, U Tint Lwin, Deputy Director of Yangon Region Fisheries Department delivered a speech and discussed matters relating to a fish releasing ceremony.

Afterwards, U Tint Lwin, Deputy Director of the Region Fisheries Department, member-1 of the Township Administration Council Major Thet Zaw and members, the Township level officials, community leaders, members of village Administration Council and staff from the Township Fisheries Department jointly released a total of 750000 fingerlings including 250000 ngakhunma and 500000 Shwengakyin into the creek to further preserve the biodiversity of the Ma-u Creek.—Win Ei Mon(IPRD)
