A total of 500000 fish fingerlings were released into Ma-U creek to further restore the biodiversity of the creek in Dagon Myothit(East) Township, Yangon Region on 28 September.

 

At the event, U Tint Lwin, Deputy Director of Yangon Region Fisheries Department delivered a speech and discussed matters relating to a fish planting ceremony.

 

Afterwards, U Tint Lwin, Deputy Director of the Region Fisheries Department, member of the Township Administration Council Major Thet Zaw and members, the Township level officials, community leaders and staff from the Township Fisheries Department attended the event and jointly released a total of 500000 fingerlings into the creek to increase fish production in the Township.

 

As of September 28, a total of 3.0 million fingerlings were released into the Mu-U creek in Dagon Myothit(East) Township, according to an official from the Township Department of fisheries.—Win Ei Mon (IPRD)
