Rural development projects in Yenangyaung Township completed 65%

With the aim of ensuring swift flow of commodity and saving time and money, Rural Development projects have been implemented with Ks. 850.0 million in Yenangyaung Township in Magway Region and now, all the projects were completed 65 percent, according to an official from the District Department of Rural Development.

 

Under this development projects, rural roads including a concrete road measuring 2.56 furlongs long, a gravel road measuring four miles and five furlongs long, an earthen road four miles and one furlong long and a total of 22 bridges including 18 box culverts measuring 690 ft. long is being constructed by a tender winning company with Ks. 858.821 million including Ks. 283.821 million allotted by Union government and Ks. 574.37 million allotted by regional government.

 

Once completed, the roads and bridges will benefit farmlands of 53517 local people from 11682 households from 54 villages and helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner.—Than Lwin(Magway)
