An opening ceremony of a new precise measurement science (Myanmar) building was held in the compound of Department of Research and Innovation at No. 6 Kaba Aye Pagoda Road, Yankin Township, Yangon yesterday morning.
First Union Minister for Education Dr. Myo Thein Gyi and Germany’s Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) Chairman Prof. Dr. Joachim Hermann Ullrich delivered speeches.
Next Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Gyi, Yangon Region Hluttaw Deputy Speaker U Lin Naing Myint, National Education Policy Commission Chairman Dr. Myo Kywe, Germany’s PTB Chairman Prof. Dr. Joachim Hermann Ullrich, KETT Electric Laboratory general manager Mr. Norihiro Yoshida, Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry President U Zaw Min Win, Myanmar Engineering Council Chairman Dr. Charlie Than and National Standard Council member Dr. Sein Myint cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the precise measurement science building. Afterwards, Union Minister Dr. Myo Thein Gyi and officials sprinkled scented water on the commemorative plaque and inspected the laboratories in precise measurement science building.
Later Union Minister and officials went to Rectors Committee meeting hall on Thaton Road, Kamayut Township, Yangon to attend the coordination meeting on reference frame of basic education high school level curriculum and then attended a TVET training workshop held in National Education Policy Commission office it is learnt. — MNA
