Developmental works are being conducted in 115 villages in Myeik District, Taninthayi Region during 2022-2023 FY, according to an official from the District Department of Rural Development. 

 

39 water supply projects are being conducted with K 948.581 million in four townships, construction of five rural roads with K 325.65 million, a bridge with K 56.6 million and 13 box culverts are being built with K 102 million starting from first week of September. 

 

Likewise, 60 developmental works including construction of 42 rural roads and a bridge, nine water supply projects, one electrification project, making a fence, repair of roofs of school building, construction of a school building and other works are being conducted with K 570 million funded by the project and K 27.9 million contributed by local people. Now, 70 percent of the projects have been completed. 

 

Upon completion, it will bring socioeconomic development to a total of 96273 people from 17770 households in 115 villages in the district.
