Medical workers from the Town Department of Public Health under Ministry of Health conducted vaccination campaign to prevent women from cervical cancer at the meeting hall of B.E.H.S.-2 in the Town of Laukkai, the Kokang Self-Administered Zone of Shan State (North) this morning.
Medical workers vaccinated girls between 11 and 12 years old with human papillomavirus vaccine in collaboration with volunteers.
Under this vaccination program, a total of 64 students were given human papillomavirus vaccine, according to the Town Department of Public Health. Afterwards, healthcare workers also shared knowledge about the danger of cervical cancer to girls and their mothers.—Laukkai IPRD
