Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development inspected the completion of concrete paving work of road in Uyin Village, Lamaing village tract in Zalun Township, Ayeyarwady Region this morning.

During the inspection tour, officials met with members of village development project committee and gave necessary instructions and stressed the importance of quality construction and maintenance.

The concreted road measuring 895 ft. in length, nine ft. in width and six inches in thickness was constructed by local people with Ks. 11 million including Ks. 10 million of DRD’s allocated funds in 2022-2023 fiscal years and Ks. 1 million contributed by local people.  The construction of the road began the first week of September this year and now, all the projects were completed 100 percent.

The road will benefit 372 local people from 93 households in the village, helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.—Cho Than Nyunt(DRD)
