UNION Minister for Border Af­fairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung vis­ited Kayin State Development Supervision Office in Hpa-an on 3 November.

 

The Union Minister in­structed staff to complete the construction works meeting set standards on time, to try to become a good citizen with a strong union spirit and out­standing talent, and pay atten­tion to the staff matters.

 

In the afternoon on 4 No­vember, the Union Minister arrived at the border area eth­nic youth mechanical training school, and inspected the train­ing hall, practical workshops, dormitories and mess.

 

Then, the Union Minister visited Kayin State Department of Education and Training, Pro­gress of Border Areas and Na­tional Races Department, and Hpa-an Township Development Supervision Office and clarified the agriculture, livestock and welfare issues.

 

In the afternoon, the Union Minister met trainees, employ­ees and officials from Women’s Vocational Training School of Department of Education and Training in Hpa-an, provided school uniforms and station­ery, books for libraries, sports equipment for the trainees, and inspected training campus, li­brary dormitory, and restau­rants.

 

At the Border Ethnic Youth Development Training School in Hap-an, he inspected student dormitory, mess, and library, and progress of building the 100 KVA transformer sub-power station.—MNA
