Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development inspected the completion of rural road in Kyweti Village in Pwintbyu Township of Magway Region on 9 November.

During the inspection tour, officials led by U Win Myat Thein, staff officer of Minbu District Department of Rural Development met with members of village development project committee and gave necessary instructions and stressed the importance of quality construction and maintenance.

The gravel type road measuring 1.1 miles in length, 12 ft. in width and one ft. in thickness was constructed by a tender winning company with Ks. 595 million allocated by regional government in 2022-2023 FY. The construction of the road and a slab culvert and a pipe culvert on the road began on 7 June this year and now, all the projects were completed 100 percent.

The road will benefit 2258 local people from 465 households in the village, helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner, according to an official from the District Department of Rural Development.—Zin Mar Oo(DRD)
