It is earmarked to be cultivated 10999 acres of winter oil crops in Paukkaung Township, Pyay District, Bago Region during this year, according to the Township Department of Agriculture.

In the township, 4452 acres of sesame, 5717 acres of peanut and 830 acres of sunflower plantation has been earmarked during 2022-2023 FY. Officials from the Township Department of Agriculture educated farmers on seed, fertilizer and technology knowledge.
