Officials from the Township Department of Rural Development inspected the construction work of a multi-purpose hall in Meyoekha Village in Mong Ton Township, Shan State (East) this morning.

During the inspection tour, official led by U Sai Aung Myo Htet of the Township Department of Rural Development met with the members of village development committee and instructed to meet construction deadline.

The hall which is 50 ft. in length, 30 ft. in width and 12 ft. in height was built at a cost of Ks. 13.4 million including Ks. 10 million of DRD’s fund allocated in 2022-2023 fiscal year and Ks. 3.4 million contributed by local people.

The construction work of the hall began the third week of July this year with the fund of VDP during 2022-2023 fiscal year and public contribution. Now, all the projects have been completed 75 percent, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.—Maung Khaing (DRD)
