The Committee on Organizing Diamond Jubilee Independence Day 2023 held its second coordi­nation meeting in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

 

During the meeting, Com­mittee Chairman Union Min­ister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn said arrangements are underway to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Independ­ence Day at State-level. The pre-ceremonial programmes and their related programmes are also being held. Therefore, all should participate in that great ceremony as one can en­counter such a significant day once in a lifetime.

 

Then, Joint Secretary of Committee Permanent Sec­retary U Myo Myint Maung reported on the activities of the organizing committee and sub-committees, and float preparations of ministries, re­gions and states.

 

The committee members Deputy Ministers and attendees also discussed the preparations for a military parade, schedule for rehearsal, military parade programmes, duration, invita­tion, and alphabet formation in­cluding the needed numbers of students for presentation, trans­portation, healthcare services, floats, construction estimate and approval.

 

Then, the Union minister concluded the meeting after the joint secretary of the committee read out the decisions made at the meeting. – MNA
