The National League for Democracy and the public held a ceremony to open Bogyoke Aung San’s statue to mark his 104th anniversary of birthday at Myathida Park in Dagain Myothit Seikkan this morning.

According to the agenda, attendees gave salute to national flag, Bogyoke Aung San and fallen martyrs. Afterwards, Yangon Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein and executive vice chairman of NLD Dr. Soe Win Oo gave opening remarks.

The regional chief minister, regional minister for development Yangon mayor U Maung Maung Soe, MP U Mya Sein of Pyithu Hluttaw, MP Dr. Daw Phyu Phyu Khaing of No.1 constituency of Yangon Region, MP of No.2 constituency of Yangon Region, chairman of organizing committee U Zin Min Htwe, executive vice chairman of NLD and members of NLD, Yangon Eastern District opened the ceremony and also pressed a button to open the statue.

Afterwards, the attendees gave salute to Bogyoke Aung San and laid flower baskets at the statue, which brought the ceremony to an end.
