The second-day meeting be­tween the State Peace Talks Team-SPTT and the peace del­egation led by the vice-chair­man of the New Mon State Party-NMSP was held yester­day morning at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw.

 

The meeting was attended by the State Peace Talks Team led by SAC Member Union Min­ister at the Government Office Chairman of the National Sol­idarity and Peacemaking Ne­gotiation Committee-NSPNC Peace Talks Team Leader Lt- Gen Yar Pyae, SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein and NSPNC members: Lt-Gen Min Naing and Lt-Gen Aye Win — and NMSP Vice-Chairman Nai Aung Min, Joint General Secretary Nai Win Hla, Central Executive Committee members Nai Banyar Lei and Nai Aung Ma Ngay, and representatives of the peace talks.

 

During the second-day meeting, both sides discussed issues that have not been com­pleted on the first day and pro­posals of both sides to be con­tinued to discuss and negotiate.

 

Afterwards, they negotiated common agreements on peace and development and discussed drafts to reach agreements ac­cording to discussions of both sides and the second-day meet­ing was adjourned.

 

The third-day meeting will be held on 15 February, and both parties will sign mutually agreed points as an agreement. — MNA/TS
